International Co-opetition

There have been several recent articles about cooperation among rivals in the aerospace field.  Boeing and Comac just agreed to set up a research center in China to focus on energy conservation.  Boeing also announced cooperation in Brazil to better position itself for business there.  Another article talks about how EADS is working with the U.S. government to expand the market for its light utility helicopter.  This goes to show how the aerospace industry is truly global, and that companies will sometimes become partners and sometimes rivals.
